An immersive new studio brings together interior design, art, materiality and hospitality, marking five years of Claire Dominics Buro in the UAE.

Opening a new studio is always a milestone. Creating one that feels lived-in from the first moment — somewhere between a studio, a gallery, and a place to sit, talk and stay — is something else entirely.

With its new Dubai creative space, Claire Dominics Buro moves away from the traditional idea of an office. Instead, the studio has been conceived as an environment where design can be experienced, not simply discussed.

Marking five years of the group’s presence in the UAE, the new space represents a natural evolution of the studio’s work in the region.

At its core, the studio is built on contrast.

Raw urban materials — exposed concrete, blackened brick and steel — create a strong architectural shell. Against this, softer layers unfold through plush textiles, warm timber, bespoke joinery and carefully composed lighting.

Black and white anchor the palette, yet the space never feels stark. The transitions are deliberate and restrained, allowing contrasting materials and textures to settle naturally into balance.

Where Conversations Find Balance

Hospitality runs naturally through the space.

Rather than being received in conventional meeting rooms, visitors are welcomed into a relaxed yet carefully considered environment where they can sit, move through the studio and engage with materials, books, objects and art.

Conversations unfold around a central table, reflecting Claire Dominics Buro’s hospitality-led approach to interiors — one that considers not only how a space looks, but how it is felt, used and remembered.

The result is not a conventional showroom, but a composition shaped through layering, refinement and control rather than excess.

Art at the Heart of the Studio

A dedicated art gallery is woven directly into the studio rather than treated as a separate space.

This reflects a long-standing principle within Claire Dominics Buro’s work: art is not considered an accessory, but a fundamental part of a project’s identity. Pieces are curated or developed in dialogue with the interiors, introducing depth, tension and cultural context.

The library and material archive continue this approach. Architectural and design books collected over years of international work sit alongside stone, timber, textiles and metals intended to be handled, compared and understood.

Together, these elements create a working landscape of inspiration where art, materials and interior architecture exist in direct conversation.

A Milestone of Recognition

Claire Dominics Buro is an international interior design and interior architecture studio specialising in luxury hospitality and high-end residential projects across Europe and the Middle East.

Its multi-sensory approach considers light, material, acoustics and spatial flow as equally important components, alongside biophilic and sustainable principles integrated throughout the design process.

Part of Globinter Group, the studio combines its independent creative direction with more than 20 years of experience in contracting, fit-out and turnkey project delivery.

In 2025, Claire Dominics Buro was recognised with a Luxury Lifestyle Award for Best Luxury Interior Visualisation and Design Project for Turquoise Apartment in Abu Dhabi, UAE — another milestone reflecting the studio’s commitment to creating spaces that are not simply seen, but experienced and remembered.
