A Special Evening Shared
The opening of the new Claire Dominics Buro creative space in Dubai marked an important moment in the studio’s continued presence in the UAE — introducing a new setting dedicated to design, art, and conversation.
Conceived as an extension of Claire Dominics Buro’s existing work in the region, the space brings together interior design, architecture, and artistic expression within a single environment. It reflects the studio’s approach to design — where concept, materiality, and experience are developed as one continuous narrative.
Alongside its role as an interior design studio in Dubai, the space introduces a more immersive and cultural dimension to the practice, offering a setting for exhibitions, conversations, and curated encounters.

The evening brought together guests from the creative community, industry professionals, and long-time collaborators of the founders. It unfolded as both a studio opening and an exhibition, creating an atmosphere that felt celebratory yet considered.
A Thoughtful Address
A memorable moment of the evening was the speech by Zaahirah Muthy — artist, curator, and founder of ZeeArts Gallery and Art Connects Women. Speaking within the studio’s library setting, she reflected on the importance of cultural spaces and the role of art in creating connection, dialogue, and meaning.
Her words added depth to the evening, reinforcing the idea that design extends beyond aesthetics into experience. In a setting shaped by interior architecture and carefully curated elements, guests gathered in an intimate salon-style arrangement. They listened as the conversation moved naturally between creativity, identity, and the importance of places that bring disciplines together.

That evening also marked the presentation of her exhibition Village des Animaux, currently displayed within the studio, framing the opening as both a design milestone and a cultural moment.
Community and Conversation
Throughout the evening, guests moved fluidly through the space, engaging with the artworks and with one another.
The gathering brought together a distinguished audience from two intersecting worlds. On one hand, the evening welcomed respected figures from hospitality, development, and the wider design and real estate community — individuals actively shaping hotel, residential, and commercial projects across the region. On the other, it drew artists, curators, collectors, and cultural voices, reinforcing the studio’s connection to Dubai’s broader creative landscape.

A particularly meaningful aspect of the evening was the strong presence of Emirati guests, among which was H.E. Sara Shaw, CEO of Majra, National CSR Fund, Sultana Kazim, CEO of Imperial Falcon Villa Art Galleries and studios; H.E. Sheikh Ali Al Mualla, Artist of Sustainability, Dr. Mohamed Yousif, Artist and Educator; and Mr Ahmed Rukni, Emirati artist.
Their participation gave the occasion a sense of genuine local recognition, reflecting that the space was not only introduced to an international audience, but also warmly received within the cultural and professional fabric of the UAE.

Conversations unfolded naturally across the studio — around curated seating areas, within the exhibition setting, and between moments of art and design.
The result was an atmosphere that felt refined yet open, where hospitality leaders, developers, creatives, and cultural contributors moved effortlessly within the same environment, connected by a shared appreciation for thoughtful design and artistic expression.

A Moment of Significance
A defining moment of the evening came with the official opening of the space, marked by a symbolic ribbon-cutting led by His Excellency Sheikh Ali Al Mualla. The gesture carried meaning far beyond ceremony. It signalled the arrival of this new creative environment within Claire Dominics Buro’s presence in Dubai — a place intended to contribute to both the design and cultural life of the city.
Surrounded by guests, supporters, and long-standing collaborators, the moment reflected a transition from vision to presence — from an idea carefully developed over time into a living setting for interior design, architecture, and exchange.

More Than an Opening
This was not simply the unveiling of a new space.
It marked the introduction of a new creative platform by Claire Dominics Buro. The studio’s evolution of its established presence in Dubai and a natural extension of its work in luxury interior design, interior architecture, and bespoke furnishing.
Conceived as a place where disciplines intersect, the space adds a cultural dimension to the studio’s work, complementing its ongoing projects across hospitality, residential, and fit-out.
More than a design environment, it is intended as a platform for exhibitions, discussions, and collaborations — a place where ideas can be explored, shared, and experienced.
As the evening unfolded, there was a shared sense of anticipation for what lies ahead.
This opening marks the beginning of a new chapter — grounded in intention, collaboration, and a clear vision for contemporary design in Dubai.
