Art, Design, and Cultural Dialogue at Claire Dominics Buro Dubai

February 10, 2026

Claire Dominics Buro recently hosted a special art lecture and cultural gathering at its studio in Dubai, welcoming guests for a day centered on art, culture, and thoughtful exchange. The event brought together members of the local creative community, industry professionals, and invited speakers in a setting designed to encourage meaningful conversation.

Held within our studio, the gathering reflected our belief that creative spaces should do more than house a design project. They can also become places for dialogue, reflection, and connection.

A Studio Designed for Dialogue

The lecture took place within the studio’s curated interior, where layered textiles, architectural shelving, and expressive artworks created an atmosphere that felt both refined and welcoming. Rather than following a formal auditorium format, the seating was arranged in a more intimate salon-style setting, encouraging attentiveness and open discussion.

As an interior design studio in Dubai, we are always conscious of how space shapes experience. The composition of the room, the lighting, and the material textures all contributed to the tone of the gathering, allowing guests to focus on the ideas being shared.

The studio became more than a backdrop for the event. It became part of the conversation itself.

Art, Identity, and Creative Exchange

The guest speakers guided the audience through a thoughtful exploration of art, history, and cultural identity. The discussion considered how artistic expression reflects time, place, and social context, and how these ideas continue to resonate in contemporary creative practice.

Guests were invited to think about art not simply as something to observe, but as an ongoing conversation between artist, audience, and environment. The lecture highlighted the importance of preserving cultural narratives while remaining open to new interpretations and perspectives.

A special part of the gathering was led by our partner and guest speaker Zaahirah Muthy, who guided guests through her artwork exhibited in our studio, Le Village des animaux. Through the series, she invited the audience into a deeper reflection on symbolism, narrative, and the emotional presence of art within interior spaces.

For those working across interior design, architecture, and the wider creative field, these conversations remain especially relevant. Art continues to shape the way spaces are experienced, adding depth, memory, and character.

Art Within Interior Spaces

At Claire Dominics Buro, we see art as an essential part of the atmosphere and identity of a space. Whether in a private residence or a hospitality setting, carefully chosen artworks can transform an interior, giving it warmth, individuality, and emotional presence.

In some projects, this may take the form of selecting paintings or objects that complement the wider interior architecture. In others, it may involve sourcing or commissioning pieces that respond to the concept of the space itself. For both private villas and hotel design projects, art can become a subtle but powerful part of the overall experience.

A Shared Creative Community

Beyond the formal presentation, the gathering encouraged connection. Conversations continued throughout the studio as guests reflected on the themes discussed and shared their own perspectives.

The event welcomed a diverse audience of creatives, cultural contributors, and supporters of the arts. Moments like these strengthen the links between art, design, and community, while reinforcing the role of the studio as a place for cultural engagement as well as creative work.

As an architecture and interior design studio, we have always seen our space as something more than a workplace. It is also a setting for ideas, encounters, and exchanges that enrich the creative process.

Where Art and Design Meet

Art and architecture have long been connected. This gathering was a reminder that design does not exist in isolation, but in constant conversation with culture, history, and people.

At Claire Dominics Buro, our work in luxury interior design and bespoke spaces is guided by the belief that the most memorable interiors are not only functional or visually refined, but also deeply human.

By opening our doors to artistic and cultural gatherings, we continue to support a broader creative dialogue within Dubai’s evolving design landscape.

The event concluded with a renewed sense of connection — a reminder that when art, design, and community come together, meaningful conversations follow.
